Three years ago I was looking for linden wood. I received a whole tree as a gift, cut to pieces, and felt a little guilty. I started looking for ways to symbolically make the tree revive. First I experimented with graphic distortions, then with carved figurative images. The thinner stems were joined together with homemade hinges. Finally, I tried to make the trunk literally blossom with a controlled cleavage technique. Although the trunks having been processed differently, the tree is united again.
